Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Biology lessons that prepare students for Oxbridge and other leading universities.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student learning.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the academic and personal development of students.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that promote a well-rounded education.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good first degree in Biology or a related subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Willingness to work full or part time, with a minimum of 0.60FTE.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Biology at secondary level.
- Experience preparing students for university entrance.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience working in a school with a strong pastoral care system.
