The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Science Teacher to deliver an outstanding curriculum in Key Stages 3 and 4. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to A Level Physics in future years and make a meaningful impact on student learning and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Develop and implement an effective curriculum in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love of science.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of A Level Physics where appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the science department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Engage with the school community and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in science education.
- Strong subject knowledge in science, particularly physics.
- Experience in delivering curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to character development and student well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level Physics.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular science activities.
- Experience working in a school with a strong values-based ethos.
