The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join our team and inspire Key Stage 3 and 4 students. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Sociology and Psychology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology and Sociology to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and understanding.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s ethos and educational goals.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and discussion.
- Prepare and assess coursework in line with Key Stage 4 curriculum requirements.
- Support students in developing their understanding of society, culture, and human behaviour.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong interest in Psychology, Sociology, and related social sciences.
- Ability to engage and inspire secondary school students.
- Good communication skills for effective classroom management.
- Understanding of the Key Stage 4 curriculum requirements for Sociology.
- Relevant qualifications or working towards a teaching qualification.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Psychology and Sociology at Key Stage 3 or 4.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Background in Jewish education or values-based teaching.
