The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join our team and inspire Key Stage 3 and 4 students. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Sociology and Psychology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology and Sociology to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s ethos and educational goals.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and discussion.
  • Prepare and assess coursework in line with Key Stage 4 curriculum requirements.
  • Support students in developing their understanding of society, culture, and human behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong interest in Psychology, Sociology, and related social sciences.
  • Ability to engage and inspire secondary school students.
  • Good communication skills for effective classroom management.
  • Understanding of the Key Stage 4 curriculum requirements for Sociology.
  • Relevant qualifications or working towards a teaching qualification.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Psychology and Sociology at Key Stage 3 or 4.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in Jewish education or values-based teaching.
