Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Biology lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including the use of AR and AI technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Support the school’s commitment to sustainability by integrating eco-conscious practices into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
• Provide regular feedback to students and maintain strong communication with parents and guardians.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that promote science and sustainability.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor of Education or a relevant degree with PGCE or PGDE (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
• Proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level Science
• Strong interest in sustainability and leadership in education
• Excellent IT and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check

Preferred

• Experience with technology-enhanced learning and innovative teaching methods
• Background in curriculum development or leadership roles
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England
• Experience in school-wide sustainability initiatives
