The Opportunity:

As a Boarding Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of a Boarding House. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in a boarding school setting, potentially as a stepping stone to a teaching career or further study.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the daily operations and management of a Boarding House
• Assist with administrative tasks and boarding-related activities
• Provide care and supervision to students outside of academic hours
• Collaborate with the Head of Boarding to support school events and activities
• Assist with extracurricular activities such as sport, music, and other school events
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the boarding community

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Recent graduate with a relevant degree
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
• Resilience and a positive, supportive attitude

Preferred

• Experience in a residential or educational setting
• Interest in teaching or further education in education
• Knowledge of school operations or boarding environments
• Ability to assist with extracurricular activities or sports
