Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student engagement and development.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of chemistry and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students with diverse learning needs.
  • Background in continuing professional development and curriculum innovation.
  • Familiarity with STEM initiatives and competitions.
  • Experience with digital tools and resources in teaching and learning.
