Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student engagement and development.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of chemistry and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching students with diverse learning needs.
- Background in continuing professional development and curriculum innovation.
- Familiarity with STEM initiatives and competitions.
- Experience with digital tools and resources in teaching and learning.
