The Opportunity:

You will inspire students and bring Geography to life, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for success at GCSE and A-Level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons that reflect the latest research and teaching practices.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Support students in developing their academic and personal skills through well-structured, research-based teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and within King’s Group Academies to share best practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Provide effective feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Geography curriculum and assessment strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and a valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience teaching Geography at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
  • Leadership experience or involvement in curriculum development.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student welfare support.
