Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to the varied needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum-based lessons that meet educational standards.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student progress and well-being.
  • Liaise with support staff, including speech and language therapists and educational psychologists, to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and support student development.
  • Organize and lead extra-curricular activities that enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and continuously improve classroom provision and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • A passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
  • Experience in inclusion education and special needs support.
