The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified Teacher of Economics and Business Studies to join our successful department. This role offers the opportunity to work with motivated students and contribute to a department known for outstanding academic results and progression to top universities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics and Business Studies lessons to students across key stages.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement and attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and maintain departmental excellence.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and university applications.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Engage in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Economics and/or Business Studies.
  • Strong academic background and commitment to high standards in teaching.
  • Experience in delivering GCSE and A Level courses, ideally with OCR or Edexcel.
  • Ability to work in a structured, high-performing environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting key stage teams.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong academic reputation.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Experience with student progression to top universities.
