The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Business and Economics Teacher to join a dynamic and collaborative department. This role offers the opportunity to teach at GCSE, A Level, and on a University Foundation Programme, with a focus on fostering critical thinking and student success in a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Business and Economics up to A Level.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Manage and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the school's co-curriculum and pastoral support initiatives.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment aligned with safeguarding policies.
  • Stay current with developments in the subject and implement best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Support students with English as a second language and those with special educational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in supporting students with English as a second language.
  • Experience in contributing to co-curriculum or pastoral support programmes.
  • Experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
