The Opportunity:

A Science Technician is needed to support the Science Department in delivering high-quality education. This role involves preparing experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety compliance. Join a newly opened school with state-of-the-art facilities and a forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up experiments and demonstrations for Science lessons.
  • Maintain, repair, and manage the stock of Science equipment and apparatus.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and protocols.
  • Support the ordering of supplies and manage inventory effectively.
  • Assist the Science Department with administrative and technical tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Science Technician and Head of Science to deliver a first-class Science education.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
  • Provide technical support to teachers to enhance the delivery of Science lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • High standard of literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.

Preferred

  • A background in Science or a strong interest in the subject.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Previous experience in technical or administrative support roles.
