Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Business and Economics lessons to secondary students, including IGCSE and A Level curricula
• Lead and support the development of the Business and Economics department
• Implement data-informed strategies to improve student achievement and outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school
• Model best practice in the classroom and share effective teaching strategies
• Engage with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment
• Contribute to the school’s sustainability initiatives and digital innovation strategies
• Support the development of student leadership and life skills through extracurricular activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A B.Ed or subject-related degree, together with a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Business and Economics at secondary level, including IGCSE and A Level or equivalent
• Experience as a Head of Department or readiness to step into a leadership role
• A strong track record of outstanding classroom practice
• The ability to lead curriculum development and assessment strategies
• A clear commitment to raising achievement and standards in Business and Economics
• Excellent IT, organisational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Experience with leadership development and professional growth
• A strong interest in sustainability in education
• Experience with innovative teaching technologies such as AR and AI
• Experience in developing student leadership and life skills programmes
