The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Business and IT Teacher to join a school that values innovation and student success. This role offers the opportunity to teach Business at KS4 and KS5, as well as IT at KS3, with the potential to expand into KS5 for those with relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Business and IT across multiple key stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that enhances students’ digital literacy, enterprise skills, and understanding of modern business practices.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth through individualised guidance and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities that align with the school’s values and vision.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Business and IT to ensure teaching remains relevant and impactful.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral care, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business and IT.
  • Experience teaching Business and IT at KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach KS5 where appropriate.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering enterprise-related or digital literacy initiatives.
  • Background in Business and Enterprise Specialism or similar programs.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in education.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
