The Opportunity:

As a Vocational Studies Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students’ futures by delivering high-quality vocational education across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping students achieve incredible things through innovative teaching and strong pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach vocational subjects such as Health and Social Care, Child Care, Business, Travel and Tourism, or Law across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Deliver, plan, and prepare lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and national standards.
  • Contribute to the development and design of vocational subject offerings within the school.
  • Add value to every learner by benchmarking teaching against national criteria and data.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure creative and innovative learning takes place in every lesson.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and guidance to students.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress and intervene where necessary.
  • Support the school’s mission by inspiring students to achieve incredible things through vocational pathways.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching vocational subjects at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Health and Social Care, Child Care, Business, Travel and Tourism, or Law.
  • Excellent understanding of curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Ability to work with assessment data to monitor and support student achievement.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of ambition, kindness, resilience, and respect.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design and development.
  • Background in working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Additional qualifications in education or related fields.
  • Experience in collaborative teaching environments.
