The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Business Studies Teacher to join a dynamic and growing department. The role involves teaching across Years 10–13 and delivering a range of qualifications including Cambridge IGCSE, Edexcel A-Level, BTEC National Diploma, and the International Baccalaureate Business Management. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Business Studies to Years 10–13, covering a range of qualifications including IGCSE, A-Level, BTEC, and IB Business Management.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and promote critical thinking and real-world application.
- Support the department’s growth by potentially leading one of the major Business qualifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods and maintain high standards of delivery.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and curriculum development.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Business Studies.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of shared responsibility and positive community involvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified to teach Business Studies at IGCSE and A-Level.
- Experience delivering the BTEC National Diploma qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on additional leadership responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Business Management for the International Baccalaureate.
- Early career teacher with a desire to grow and develop within a supportive environment.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and innovative pedagogical approaches.
