The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Business Teacher to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on students' futures. The role involves teaching A level Business and the BTEC Extended Certificate in Business, with a focus on raising aspirations and supporting student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in A level Business and BTEC Extended Certificate in Business.
  • Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and resources that align with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Support the wider college community through participation in extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate relevant content into teaching.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic and pastoral support systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in teaching Business at A level and BTEC.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Demonstrable record of outstanding results and commitment to student success.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in post-16 education or initial teacher training with a strong potential for teaching in this age range.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in developing and delivering applied general qualifications.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring other teachers.
