The Opportunity:
As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the school’s strategic vision, ensuring outstanding educational outcomes for all students. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced and driven professional looking to make a lasting impact in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the strategic development and implementation of the school’s vision and priorities.
- Work closely with the Principal and senior leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and strong academic outcomes.
- Deputise for the Principal when necessary, taking full responsibility for the leadership and operation of the school.
- Promote and embed a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and continuous improvement.
- Support staff development and ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing remain central to all aspects of school life.
- Foster positive behaviour and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a senior leader in an educational setting, with a track record of improving standards and driving strategic change.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to ensure all students make strong progress.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and equity, with the ability to embed these principles into daily practice.
Preferred
- Experience in leading school improvement initiatives or working within a multi-academy trust.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience with pastoral care and student behaviour management.
- Familiarity with the Teach Like a Champion approach to instruction.
