Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality music lessons using a range of teaching strategies and resources.
- Develop and implement schemes of learning that align with curriculum requirements.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music department’s impact across the school.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in departmental and school-wide events and initiatives.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and share best practices with the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher or eligible to apply for QTS.
- Experience in teaching music at the appropriate level.
- Strong knowledge of music curriculum and pedagogy.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive lessons that promote student achievement.
- Commitment to the school’s vision and values.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering music performance opportunities or extracurricular music activities.
- Familiarity with music technology and digital resources.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Previous experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
