The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Business Teacher to join its Economics and Business department. This role offers the opportunity to teach KS4 and KS5 students following AQA and OCR syllabi, while contributing to a department with a proven record of outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics and Business to KS4 and KS5 students using the AQA and OCR syllabi
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking and real-world application
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results at both GCSE and A-level
  • Contribute to the development of departmental resources and teaching strategies
  • Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments
  • Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Economics and Business education
  • Strong subject knowledge of AQA and OCR syllabi for GCSE and A-level Business and Economics
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve excellent student outcomes
  • Experience working with students across a range of abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the school's values and mission

  • Experience in developing and delivering cross-curricular links
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies
  • Leadership experience within a department or team
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting students with diverse learning needs
