The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Religious Education Teacher to join a dynamic department that consistently achieves outstanding results. This role offers the opportunity to teach across key stages, contribute to curriculum planning, and support the development of student achievement and engagement in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the Edexcel and OCR syllabi.
- Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of the R.E. curriculum.
- Support the Head of Department in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and engaging lessons.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities.
- Stay up to date with current developments in Religious Education and curriculum changes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience with Edexcel and OCR syllabi.
- Leadership experience or potential within a department.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Experience in teaching at A Level.
- Familiarity with inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.
