The Opportunity:

As a Principal's Personal Assistant, you will support the Principal in managing the strategic and operational aspects of a leading sixth form college. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal in managing the day-to-day operations of the office.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and minutes for the Principal and senior leadership team.
  • Manage correspondence, communications, and documentation for the Principal.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Principal’s schedule and priorities.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school through proactive support and collaboration.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the Principal’s objectives.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for key events and projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior administrative or support role, preferably within education.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working at a senior level within a leadership team.
  • Confident in managing complex and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a sixth form or higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures.
  • Experience in supporting senior leadership in strategic planning.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Experience in managing external communications and stakeholder relationships.
