Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the English curriculum, including up to A Level.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the school’s broader curriculum and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
Preferred
- Experience with A Level English.
- Familiarity with teaching in a boarding school environment.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Knowledge of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
- Experience with digital learning tools and resources.
