The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring chemistry lessons that promote curiosity and a deep understanding of the subject.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure continued improvement and success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s continued success.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and events that enhance student engagement and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methods and resources.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching chemistry at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for teaching.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs or in a leadership role within a department.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
- Experience in a school with a strong Catholic ethos or values-based education.
