Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes musical excellence and student achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular learning opportunities
- Support the inclusion of all students, ensuring they have access to a rich and varied music education
- Participate in departmental planning and professional development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning
- Engage with the wider school community, including parents and external partners
- Contribute to the school’s mission of raising standards and student outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education
- Experience teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for music
- Commitment to inclusion and student success
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
Preferred
- Experience with ECTs and mentoring
- Involvement in extra-curricular music activities
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies
- Experience in pastoral care and student support
