Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative chemistry lessons to students up to A Level.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of science curriculum across all key stages.
  • Support students through individualised attention and proactive pastoral care.
  • Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of chemistry and science education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in chemistry or a related science subject.
  • Experience teaching chemistry up to A Level.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative lessons.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on a proactive role in school life.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on student engagement and pastoral care.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
