Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and creative music curriculum plans.
  • Support students in developing their musical talents and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the co-curricular and extra-curricular programme.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and contribute to the school's pastoral care ethos.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in school events, performances, and other musical activities.
  • Promote the school's values and Catholic ethos in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Strong classroom management and pastoral care skills.
  • Excellent planning, teaching, and assessment abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably in a Catholic or values-based environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching additional subjects such as English or Drama.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience in a school with a strong Catholic or Christian ethos.
