The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join a dynamic department that inspires and motivates students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented mathematician to make a real impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to extend to Key Stage 5.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to promote high expectations and challenge in the classroom.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that support student progression and learning outcomes.
  • Develop and implement assessment for learning strategies to improve teaching and student performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop initiatives and enhance the learning experience.
  • Facilitate extra-curricular activities that support and enhance students’ learning.
  • Maintain a safe and purposeful learning environment where students feel secure and confident.
  • Use ICT creatively to develop teaching resources and enrich the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Maths-related degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven ability to teach Mathematics across a range of abilities and key stages.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Mathematics.
  • Experience in developing and delivering high-quality lessons and assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the department and across the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in planning and facilitating extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Experience in using assessment for learning strategies.
  • Experience in working within a Catholic school environment.
  • Experience in professional development and mentoring.
