Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Chemistry department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
- Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative curriculum aligned with the school’s vision
- Support and mentor teaching staff to enhance professional development and student outcomes
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and enriched learning experience
- Represent the department at staff meetings and external events
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Chemistry and educational best practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry
- Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team
- Knowledge of current educational trends and curriculum developments
