Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Chemistry department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative curriculum aligned with the school’s vision
  • Support and mentor teaching staff to enhance professional development and student outcomes
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and enriched learning experience
  • Represent the department at staff meetings and external events
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Chemistry and educational best practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Chemistry
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and curriculum developments
