Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes
• Set clear learning objectives and use Autism-specific practices to personalise work for individuals and groups
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create holistic learning experiences
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress
• Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment to promote learning
• Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, keeping accurate records and reporting achievement in line with school policy

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children with Autism
• Ability to personalise learning to meet individual needs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils

Preferred

• Experience with special educational needs (SEN)
• Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL)
• Experience in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with transdisciplinary working practices
