Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that are engaging and tailored to the needs of students.
  • Develop and implement an innovative maths curriculum that supports student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a consistent and pupil-focused learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
  • Support students with additional needs through differentiated instruction and individualised support.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student achievement and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in maths education.
  • Strong commitment to teaching students with special education needs.
  • Ability to deliver an inclusive and innovative maths curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a school setting, either mainstream or special needs.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Background in primary education with an interest in maths.
  • Experience in developing and implementing curriculum resources.
  • Familiarity with SEN-specific teaching strategies and interventions.
