The Opportunity:

As a SEN Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging, inclusive maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs. This role offers the opportunity to build confidence, develop essential skills, and make a real difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt Maths lessons for individuals and small groups to meet varied needs
  • Develop schemes of work, learning modules, and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress with consistent communication
  • Provide guidance to Learning Support Assistants for effective lesson delivery
  • Organise classrooms and resources to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • Support whole-school priorities and contribute to the School Development Plan
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths and SEN practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience teaching within an educational setting
  • Experience planning, delivering, and teaching lessons
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional or special educational needs

Preferred

  • Experience working in a specialist setting for students with ASC or related needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
