Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and take responsibility for the progress and attainment of all pupils in their class
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners through effective differentiation
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning, teaching, and next steps for learning
  • Create a positive, well-managed learning environment where pupils are motivated and enthusiastic
  • Implement school policies relating to behaviour, safeguarding, and inclusion
  • Use ICT effectively to enhance learning and support classroom practice
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good honours degree
  • Successful teaching experience or teaching practice for ECTs
  • Ability to provide a stimulating, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
  • Strong behaviour management and positive relationships with pupils
  • Effective use of assessment and data to support pupil progress

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Commitment to equality, safeguarding, and the education of every child
  • Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Experience working within a school cluster or multi-academy trust
