Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons to students aged 11–18.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student well-being and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and share best practices.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement and innovation.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and diversity through all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote the value of science education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science, preferably in Chemistry or Physics.
- Proven experience in teaching Science to students aged 11–18.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with the wider school community.
Preferred
- Experience with educational research and evidence-informed teaching practices.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Familiarity with teaching students with special educational needs or those from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with professional development and leadership opportunities within a school setting.
