The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, ensuring engaging and effective teaching.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths Faculty to maintain and improve the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and targeted interventions.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student progress and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths subject knowledge.
  • Experience of teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve excellent student outcomes.
  • Strong commitment to inclusion, diversity, and social justice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a state comprehensive school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching practice.
  • Experience of leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Experience of mentoring or supporting student wellbeing.
