Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to students with a wide range of complex learning needs, including PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD, ADHD, and speech and language impairments
  • Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and well-being
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes
  • Contribute to the school’s vision and ethos by promoting a culture of innovation, care, and excellence
  • Support students in developing independence, self-confidence, and life skills

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience working with students with complex learning needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to working with students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take an active role in school development
  • Confidence and fluency in spoken English

Preferred

  • Experience in special education or a move from mainstream education into special needs
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Background in working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Experience in developing and delivering individualised education plans
