The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Teacher (SEN), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, personalised education to students with a range of additional needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students across the secondary curriculum
- Adapt teaching strategies, resources, and assessment methods to ensure learning is accessible and meaningful for every student
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with clear targets to support academic and personal development
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting positive relationships and resilience
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, using outcomes to inform teaching strategies and intervention planning
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide consistent and holistic support
- Prepare students for future pathways by supporting the development of independence, life skills, and confidence
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- UK QTS (or equivalent) with a relevant degree
- Experience supporting students with special educational needs, including ASC, learning difficulties, and complex needs
- A full UK driving licence
Preferred
- Experience with individualised education planning and intervention strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with outdoor learning or alternative teaching environments
