As a Secondary Teacher (SEN), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, personalised education to students with a range of additional needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students across the secondary curriculum
  • Adapt teaching strategies, resources, and assessment methods to ensure learning is accessible and meaningful for every student
  • Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with clear targets to support academic and personal development
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting positive relationships and resilience
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, using outcomes to inform teaching strategies and intervention planning
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide consistent and holistic support
  • Prepare students for future pathways by supporting the development of independence, life skills, and confidence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK QTS (or equivalent) with a relevant degree
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs, including ASC, learning difficulties, and complex needs
  • A full UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Experience with individualised education planning and intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with outdoor learning or alternative teaching environments
