The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join our dynamic department. This role offers the chance to inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons, and contribute to a modern and creative curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Graphics or Resistant Materials and a commitment to student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Design & Technology lessons across all key stages
  • Develop and implement a creative and innovative curriculum in Graphics or Resistant Materials
  • Inspire students to think critically and develop practical skills in design and technology
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental and school-wide initiatives
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and pastoral activities
  • Support and mentor early career teachers where appropriate
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Design & Technology

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology
  • Strong subject knowledge in Graphics or Resistant Materials
  • Experience of teaching across a range of abilities and key stages
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Involvement in extra-curricular or community projects
  • Experience with digital design tools or CAD software
  • A First-Class Honours degree
