Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that connect with pupils' interests and real-world experiences.
  • Support each child's individual learning journey, identifying strengths and areas for growth.
  • Use assessment effectively to refine teaching strategies and enhance pupil progress and attainment.
  • Encourage exploration, creativity, and critical thinking in a supportive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in extra-curricular activities and community events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Promote the school's core values and ethos within the classroom and across the school community.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to support pupil development and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Strong understanding of child development and current educational thinking.
  • Experience in teaching KS1 or KS2 students.
  • Commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning in pupils.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take an active role in school life.

Preferred

  • Experience with extra-curricular activities or leadership roles within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or other specialist subjects.
  • Demonstrated success in raising pupil attainment and engagement.
