Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 students.
  • Support students with a range of learning needs, including those with autism and high anxiety.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and personal development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to plan and deliver a personalised curriculum.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach across the school.
  • Engage in pastoral care and support initiatives that benefit student wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with primary phase experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in the primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with students who have autism and high anxiety.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a small, supportive school environment.
  • Experience with students who have EHCPs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in teaching approaches.
  • Experience in delivering catch-up curriculum to students.
