The Opportunity:

As a Compliance Manager, you will ensure consistency, accountability, and high standards across the Trust. This role is essential in maintaining compliance, managing complaints, and supporting continuous improvement in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate complaints processes, ensuring they are handled with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Monitor compliance across the Trust, identifying risks and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to schools and central teams on compliance and governance matters.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Governance to ensure alignment with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of the Trust's Scheme of Delegation and ensure adherence to it.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the Trust, promoting transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure all compliance processes are consistent, effective, and in line with the Trust's values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in compliance, governance, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience in monitoring compliance and identifying risks for improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret statutory or regulatory requirements.
  • Confidence in handling sensitive matters with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across teams and academies.

Preferred

  • Experience with complaints handling and stakeholder management.
  • Background in education or a related sector.
  • Knowledge of education legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar organisation.
