The Opportunity:
As a Compliance Manager, you will ensure consistency, accountability, and high standards across the Trust. This role is essential in maintaining compliance, managing complaints, and supporting continuous improvement in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate complaints processes, ensuring they are handled with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Monitor compliance across the Trust, identifying risks and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to schools and central teams on compliance and governance matters.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Head of Governance to ensure alignment with Trust policies and procedures.
- Support the implementation of the Trust's Scheme of Delegation and ensure adherence to it.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the Trust, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Ensure all compliance processes are consistent, effective, and in line with the Trust's values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in compliance, governance, or a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and professional standards.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience in monitoring compliance and identifying risks for improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret statutory or regulatory requirements.
- Confidence in handling sensitive matters with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across teams and academies.
Preferred
- Experience with complaints handling and stakeholder management.
- Background in education or a related sector.
- Knowledge of education legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar organisation.
