As a Visual Art Technician, you will support the delivery of high-quality art education across a range of disciplines. This role is ideal for someone passionate about visual arts and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential in creative subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain tools, resources, and equipment for art classes across multiple disciplines.
- Support students and teachers in the use of digital media, photography, and clay-based techniques.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of all art-related equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with the art faculty to enhance the visual arts curriculum and student engagement.
- Assist in the organization and delivery of art exhibitions and events.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inspiring environment for art production and learning.
- Provide technical support for exam classes in art, ensuring students have access to the necessary resources and guidance.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the visual arts program and its impact on student learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in working with clay, photography, and digital media in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to support both students and teachers in a dynamic and creative environment.
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in visual arts.
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for visual arts.
Preferred
- Experience in supporting exam classes in art.
- Knowledge of art software and digital tools.
- Experience in managing art resources and equipment.
- Background in teaching or working with young people in an educational context.
