Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
- Develop and implement a varied and challenging curriculum that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence and preparing for university and future careers.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by leading or assisting in relevant activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students, ensuring their personal and academic development.
- Stay up to date with developments in Computer Science and integrate new technologies into teaching.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science.
- Experience in teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and A Level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship of visas).
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
- Familiarity with teaching in an independent school setting.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with teaching students with diverse learning needs.
- Previous experience in mentoring or leading student projects.
