The Opportunity:

As an Engineering & Computing Teacher - Summer School, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and hands-on lessons to students aged 14-17. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise in a dynamic and supportive setting, while also leading academic excursions in London. The role offers flexible contract options and a rewarding summer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons in Engineering & Computing to students aged 14-17
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational goals and student needs
  • Lead and manage academic excursions, including visits to museums, universities, and sites of interest
  • Support students during the day and ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the summer school experience
  • Participate in planning and delivering a student showcase on the final Friday of Block 2
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Adhere to the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Engineering or Computing
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students in a classroom setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching students aged 14-17
  • Familiarity with academic excursions and fieldwork
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery
  • Flexibility to work across multiple contract blocks
  • Knowledge of STEM subjects and their real-world applications
