The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and values-driven Computing Teacher to join a thriving department. The successful candidate will inspire students and deliver high-quality lessons that bring the Computer Science curriculum to life. This is a pivotal role in shaping the next generation's digital future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Embed the inclusive Christian vision into the curriculum and classroom practice.
  • Foster strong relationships with students and support their personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Support the school’s mission to transform lives through education and leadership.
  • Participate in a well-structured leadership network and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum and school improvement initiatives.
  • Take part in the school’s well-being and staff development programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Strong understanding of the Computer Science curriculum and its role in preparing students for the digital world.
  • Commitment to the school’s inclusive Christian ethos and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with instructional coaching or professional development programmes.
  • Background in a multi-academy trust or similar educational environment.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with the Steplab Powerful Coaching programme or similar initiatives.
  • Strong leadership potential and interest in progressing into senior leadership roles.
