The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Computer Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons in KS3 and KS4, including a new BTEC Creative Media course. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on students' digital learning and confidence through practical, project-based teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science and Creative Media at KS3 and KS4.
- Support students in developing technical skills and confidence in digital learning.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with SEND.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a new BTEC Creative Media course.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student achievement.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Computer Science and Creative Media.
- Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to support students with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience delivering BTEC or equivalent vocational qualifications.
- Familiarity with project-based learning approaches.
- Experience working in a specialist SEND setting.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Experience in curriculum development.
