As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s mission to inspire learners and change lives. You will work closely with teachers and students, ensuring lessons run smoothly and pupils remain engaged and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise students during cover periods, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Deliver lessons in line with the curriculum, using effective teaching strategies and techniques.
• Encourage positive behaviour and maintain discipline in the classroom.
• Communicate clearly with students, colleagues, and senior staff as required.
• Support the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure the well-being of all students.
• Collaborate with teaching teams to ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain accurate records of cover sessions and student progress.
• Adapt to different teaching styles and subjects as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing and supervising children and young people.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to explain and deliver lesson objectives clearly.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching or education support.
• Familiarity with behaviour management strategies.
• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of curriculum requirements and teaching standards.
