Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that align with the school’s curriculum and raise student achievement.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the school’s continued improvement.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to raising student achievement and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching additional GCSE subjects such as Business, Economics, or Computing.
  • Experience working with early career teachers.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
