The Opportunity:

As an Upholstery Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the future of design and craft education. You will deliver T Level, AMUSF, and Upholstery Leisure courses, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality T Level Craft and Design Upholstery, AMUSF, and Upholstery Leisure courses.
  • Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pedagogical techniques and technologies in teaching.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and practical.
  • Support students in developing employability skills and preparing for future careers.
  • Participate in the school’s continuous professional development and training programs.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching experience in Upholstery or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of Upholstery techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Experience in delivering T Level or equivalent technical education courses.
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) courses.
  • Background in teaching or training within a technical or vocational setting.
  • Familiarity with industry partnerships and employer-led learning initiatives.
  • Experience with project-based and practical teaching methods.
