The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support teaching staff and students across a wide range of responsibilities, including classroom supervision, administrative duties, and break time support. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on student learning and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff during short-term absences by supervising whole classes and delivering prepared lessons
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required
  • Supervise students during breakfast, break, and lunchtimes
  • Promote a positive learning environment and manage challenging behaviour in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the school’s mission by fostering a culture of mutual respect and high expectations
  • Support the school’s commitment to student achievement and personal development
  • Deliver lessons confidently and effectively under the guidance of teaching staff
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE in Maths and English (Level 4 and above)
  • Level 3 qualification
  • Confidence and competence in using day-to-day IT
  • Experience working in a school environment
  • Ability to deliver prepared lessons confidently
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values

Preferred

  • Background in English or Maths
  • Experience with teaching or learning support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
