The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join its team on a fixed-term basis until April 2026. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and to contribute to a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Plan and develop innovative teaching resources and strategies to support student progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths qualifications.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching to a range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • A track record of improving student outcomes and engagement.
